This kit is a combination of the Apex Duty/Carry Kit for the Smith and Wesson M&P Shield 2.0 and the Apex Action Enhancement Trigger for the S&W M&P Shield 2.0. The Trigger Kit directly replaces the factory hinged trigger with a solid aluminum trigger body which reduces pre-travel and over-travel by approximately 20%. It features a smooth face with a center mounted pivoting safety that maintains factory safety values. The Apex Duty/Carry Kit was designed to provide the M&P Shield 2.0 pistol owner a smooth, consistent trigger pull that is approximately 1-2 lbs lighter (based on variations in factory tolerances and the combination of springs used) with the advantages of shorter over-travel and more detectable trigger reset. However, armorer or gunsmith installation of the Ultimate Striker Block (USB) into the Shield slide is strongly recommended.(The Shield sight removal in order to install the USB Kit is extremely difficult. Removal requires delicate precision so as not to damage the sights or slide. It’s a great quality product. The price of the kit is about the same as most vendors, but this is the only place that has them in stock. Delivery was quick. I had it four days. I recommend having it installed by a gunsmith. My local shop charged $45. The trigger is smooth and the break is nice and crisp. It took a little getting used to at first. But after a few clips my patterns are center mass and tight. The biggest impact I see is the quality of my follow up shot. The reset is fast and makes it easier to stay on target and make a quality follow up shot. I recommend this for anyone that carry’s a Shield 9mm 2.0. It’s a major step up from the factory trigger.

This trigger kit turned my M&P Shield 2.0 from a so-so daily carry piece into my new favorite go-to gun. The standard M&P Shield 2.0 stock trigger is better than the original M&P Shield stock trigger but still gritty and not clean break and reset. This Apex is smooth as glass with a crisp, great reset. Lowers the pull by almost 2 lbs but doesn't make the trigger twitchy or dangerous. And there is NO modification to stock parts (like trimming the trigger bar) required for installation like other competitor models.One thing to note: the Apex Armorers Block for S&W M&P Shield DOES NOT FIT the models with built-in Crimson Trace Laser. You may need a Wheeler or another block to do the install.

Apex makes a great trigger this install completely change my performance. Great smooth trigger and a very nice reset my M&P shield 2.0 feels like a new gun. The metal almost flat face design makes pulling the trigger much easier and more comfortable to shoot.
