The Apex Polymer Forward Set Sear and Trigger Kit features a solid polymer trigger body, with center pivoting safety. This kit will set the trigger break point farther forward than the factory trigger assembly as well as, significantly reduce the uptake and over travel. It produces a trigger pull very similar to that of a 1911 but in a polymer frame striker-fired pistol. The Polymer Forward Set Sear & Trigger Kit for S&W M&P boasts a smooth trigger pull throughout the break. The rounded trigger face provides the user with a comfortable surface for the firing finger. The kit comes with two (2) trigger return springs; one designed to produce approximately a 4.0 lbs trigger pull (silver spring), and one to produce a 5.0 lbs trigger pull (green spring). These two options give the end user the ability to customize their trigger pull for their specific needs. Expected Results – Reduced trigger pre-travel and over travel to produce a feel similar to a single action fire control system – Overall reduction in trigger travel is approximately 50% – A smooth trigger pull all the way through to the break – Reduced reset – Center mounted pivoting safety maintains factory safety values – 4.0 lbs (silver spring) or 5.0 lbs (green spring) trigger pull weight, depending on which trigger return spring is installed *This kit REQUIRES the use of the larger 1/8 inch sear spring and plunger set up. If your Smith and Wesson M&P has a 1/16th inch diameter sear plunger and spring, we strongly advise you upgrade to a new style sear housing block before installing this product. All function and reliability testing was done with a 1/8 inch sear plunger and spring, therefore we cannot guarantee proper function without the appropriate size sear plunger and spring. Works great,the short reset is a must for fast follow up shots. I like the feel on your finger, use the 5lb spring for CC the 4lb might be a little light.I do not know about install, I had a Gunsmith do the install

If you have the time and the proper tools, this is a game changer for your stock MP9 trigger. My gun had an (unverified) trigger pull of 8.2 lbs. After watching several videos I decided to take a chance and ordered the trigger kit and then did the install. Note that you have to take the gun completely apart, so this is not an easy job. I got lucky and did it right the first time. Now the trigger pull is about (unverified) 2.5 lbs. So now…. – there's one less excuse not to shoot well.

I had intermittent light strikes from the start. Several tear downs (and boxes of ammo) later I was able to get the kit to work with the OEM striker block installed and modified sear. After dealing with customer service for weeks, the only option they offered was to send my firearm in for them to look at, however they were not accepting any at the time. Wrong answer. Don't waist your time or money, it is not worth risking the reliability of your sidearm.

I installed the trigger kit as described in the instructions. It wasnt hard for a first timer working on a S&W trigger job. The trigger made a new service piece out of this! I wouldnt think twice about using this trigger to replace the factory parts.

I researched this trigger when I found that I could get probably 1/2 the original purchase cost of my very lightly used Mod 1.0 on a new Mod 2.0 M&P upgrade from Cabela's. The Mod 2.0 has a trigger upgrade, some barrel stiffening and an extra grip size. None of these were critical to me except the trigger change. I emailed Apex and they recommended that I call. TREMENDOUS customer service. Found a local gun shop to install for only $35.I have not taken the pistol to the range yet but I have dry-fired it several times. The trigger pull is amazing. Short take up. Crisp firing. This is a great upgrade to my M&P.Just one warning: In an email response, Smith & Wesson stated that this upgrade will eliminate my long term warranty. Apex said that this is not always so although your pistol may come back with the original trigger installed. It's your call. I do not expect much trouble with my pistol so I proceeded.
