Great kit. Trigger has an incredibly strong feel to it. Had to shave down the trigger and hammer pins but that was expected. Make sure you follow the install directions, especially with the safety! The Armageddon style trigger bar is unlike anything I've used.

This trigger was easy to install and adjust. JP has an excellent youtube video on installation. The trigger itself feels like you are breaking a pencil lead then the rest is like breaking a slightly thinner pencil lead. I went in not ever handling this product before and I'm glad I bought it. I went with the Armageddon style that rolls.

This is the third JP trigger I've installed over the years but the first one in an AR-10. The instructions are very good and the trigger pull is short and sweet without over travel or creep. It required a little sanding on the sides (which was covered in the instructions) because of my application in a LR 308. I'd recommend them to anyone for an affordable trigger that feels better than some more expensive ones.

After watching the install video several times, and reading the written instructions to get a good overview of the install process, I was a bit overwhelmed since it is not a "Drop-in" part, you do need to have some punch tools and basic gunsmithing knowledge and skills, but you can do it, I did. I'm extremely glad I did, since it it an amazing trigger, that has zero creep, zero over travel(if you want that), and a tactile reset, it can't be beat for the price! I did have to re-set the over travel because it did not have enough, and was a bit scary giving the possibility to render a "double bump shot", so I added an extra 1/4 back out turn to give just a little bit extra travel after the trigger releases the hammer. (the instructions say back it out at least 1/2 turn. So I achieved a total of 3/4 back out turn.) I actually had to heat up the trigger group since I used the red Loctite on my first trial, so it is best to set the screws first, try the trigger a few times, then re-install using the loctite. I got it the second time PERFECT! It's a light 3.5-4 lb pull using the red spring, but I don't have a trigger devise to verify, I can just tell… Went to the range and OMG, I am shooting 1" groups at 100 yrds., with a 300 Blkout 125 grn Nosler green tips, which is AS ACCURATE AS my 308 bolt action!!! That says alot, AMAZING TRIGGER!

Excellent, well made trigger kit. Installation and adjustment were very straightforward. Read and follow the directions and you'll have no trouble getting a good result. The included video was a nice aid as well.Trigger pull weight was reduced from 7-1/2 pounds to just a tick over 4 pounds with the red spring. I opted for certain ignition rather than minimal pull weight. Take up, creep, over travel and reset were greatly reduced. The only reason I didn't give this a full 5 Stars is that trigger creep was just a fraction more than I consider perfect. The actual amount of creep is minuscule, I can just barely feel it move before it breaks and that's paying careful attention while sitting in my chair. On the firing line, it would probably be undetectable. One suggestion I will make is to only use the red Loc Tite on one end of the pins and the adjusting screws and use blue Loc Tite on the other end of the pins so you can someday remove the set up if you want. The red Loc Tite can be heated with a torch if you want to make changes, but who wants to torch their whole receiver? If you are careful the adjusting screws themselves can probably be heated enough to release the red Loc Tite for additional adjustment without affecting the heat treatment of the hammer and sear. Probably won't be necessary, but as I said, I'm picky and also cautious.Overall, I like JP's approach to their design and installation. If a part can fail it will and JP obviously doesn't want failures. Very solid piece of work.

I've had my AR for a number of years and have not spent much time with it. On my last outing I had ejection failures, so had to order the kit, and the trigger, stock mil spec, was terrible. I had an almost 8 pound pull weight which is not acceptable. I realize that a stock type AR may not be intended for marksman ship type shooting, but I know it is very capable. Not wanting to spend hundreds for a drop in trigger I went for the JP kit. This kit worked out really well once I went through the included DVD and instruction. I have to say the instructions are some of the best I've seen and go beyond installation of this kit by explaining issues with the AR trigger, stock or enhanced. Even providing a tech help call number if you have an issue. I did spend quite of bit of time refining the disconnector, I used the stock one from the AR instead of the one supplied by JP because it was a better fit right off. I worked it to what I would call a perfect fit. I did this using a stone and reassembly trial and error. It took me probably about 6 times or so because I did not want to have to redo the hook. The instructions call for leaving the hammer in place while you work the disconnector but you, I could not, cannot do this easily as the hammer spring sits on the trigger pin locking it in place. Not to mention when you remove the trigger pin the hammer spring drops down below the trigger pin. I used the red or heavier hammer spring to help ensure reliability with all ammo. I ended up with a pull of 4lb 2oz following the settings recommended in the instructions. For kicks I tried the yellow lighter hammer spring with the same settings and had a 3lb 4oz pull. The trigger is crisp and clean with very little over travel. I haven't fired it as yet but am confident this will work well. After a few rounds I may install the light hammer spring and may adjust the trigger return slightly. But we'll see. So fare a good kit for an overall improvement. Keep up the great work JP.
