In a world of instantly M.I.M.’d rifle and pistol components, we threw on the brakes, slowed to a walk, and built 2-stage triggers out of solid S7 tool steel plates. Meticulous triggers built by our staff toolmakers … without a stopwatch in sight. he MBT-2S can also replace the stock trigger on any mil-spec AR10/AR15 lower receiver. Sparing no expense, all major components are precision-machined from S7 Tool Steel. The result of this extra effort is a glass-smooth, hyper-consistent trigger that will satisfy even the most scrupulous competition shooter, but also be overly rugged for the battlefield. The MBT-2S breaks crisply at 4.5 lbs (2.5 lb first stage, 2 lb second stage) and has a smooth and positive reset. Each trigger comes with an additional “heavy” trigger spring that increases the pull weight to 6 lbs. This trigger is phenomenal for the price! I train a lot with the blackbeard by mantis(thanks Garand Thumb) and you really learn how bad milspec triggers are when you are running drills and target transitions. This trigger really feels like a 3.5lb pull, nice clean break and a great reset. Train with it for a few days and you will be feeling like Jerry Miculek! Haha get some! You won't be disappointed with it.

I will preface this review by saying that I have only ever used stock milspec triggers before this. Therefore, I am not a truly snobby trigger connoisseur, and I may get some terminology wrong. That being said, I think the MBT is the bee's knees. It has a short travel, light and smooth takeup, and breaks cleanly. The reset is strong enough to let you know it's there, without slapping your finger.

This is a nice two stage trigger. The pull is smooth, and the stages nice and distinct. The first stage is not the shortest I've experienced by any means, but it is shorter than most. The break is clean and crisp. Reset is positive. I use this in combination with a Griffin safety that has a set screw used to limit over-travel, so I don't think I can evaluate it's overtravel fairly. Some of my other triggers that this compares well to include Geissele, Timney, and Hiperfire.

Have Larue MBT triggers in almost ever one of my rifles. Have some others too, but the Larue goes in any gun I really use. Well designed, well built and smooth as silk. Love ‘em! OP now sells them, so it’s even better.

This trigger is by far the best value on the market. For the cost, you cannot beat the simplicity, clean break, and repeatable pull. This is my third MBT2S along with various other Geissele triggers. These have become my go-to.

I selected this trigger for a new build, so installation was simple. I recommend searching for youtube videos for if it's your first trigger install. I read several reviews and comparisons and selected the MBT based upon LaRue's reputation and its comparable cost. It permorms better than I expected. Pull is SMOOTH. I measured 4.25 lb with a mechanical gauge.
