I used this trigger in a competition rifle. The is zero travel, the instant you put pressure on the trigger, it fires, and reset is instantaneous as well. The 3.5lb pull is perfect for my preferences, giving just enough resistance to feel safe and provide a crisp, clean break. It also looks fantastic both in and out of the gun. I would strongly recommend this trigger for any number of purposes, but especially for any serious target or competition shooter.

It blows my mind how a company that puts out a product like this doesn't put much effort in providing a sufficient instructional video. The only one I could find was a "general" drop in that I guess is supposed to cover all models…lol…they used a completely different trigger and the basically flys through it all and the camera man doesn't even want to show you what he's doing while he's working on it and explaining it. Unfreaking believable it almost makes you feel like your being gaslighted hahahaaa! If your new to AR building, while it's not that complicated to figure out on your own (if you are mechanically inclined) I do not recommend this trigger and make 100% certain you have a detailed video to watch on the install. ..last thing he very careful and mindful of not accidentally double tapping with this trigger. I did and it freaked me out. Only happened once and Im use to the change now but I never have one in the chamber unless I know I'm about to intentionally shoot like only when I'm ready to actually pull the trigger, so it's a two step prep. If it was for home defense that'd be different though, I just want to keep the no chamber rule though I like that especially with this trigger.

In short I love this trigger, and will absolutely recommend it. But, the pull is NOT 3.5 lbs. Mine comes in between 4.5 – 5lbs, and all other buddies with this same trigger pull the same weight. That being said, still my favorite trigger I own – the non-existent overtravel and immediate reset are amazing (even though I wish it was actually 3.5lbs).

I am only a novice "gunsmith," but this install was very easy, even for me. After the trigger was installed, it was not resetting properly. I did saying research and determined the problem might be that I had not adequately tightened the set screws. I torqued them a bit more and everything started working fine. Took it to the range and put a couple of boxes through it with no problems. And the trigger itself feels great! I wouldn't think twice before slapping another one into my next build.

For the price of this kit on Optics Planet, its just plain silly to look elsewhere for this trigger, and for as smooth and crisp this particular trigger is, it is outright dumb to head into the $200+ range to find another brand. I'd say the only trigger out there that is better is the JP with the rolling trigger, but that thing is EXPENNNNNSIVE. So unless you plan on taking out ALLLL the commies or running competition, this trigger is the best in my opinion. And again, the deal on this sight is effing amazing.

Well Bob I’m not worried about the back of the trigger. As for the tools provided, they do fit. If you cannot install trigger with the outstanding YouTube video you should not be allowed to even clean a firearm. Ok now for a real review. This trigger by RA is a testament to attention to detail. SUPER CRISP. Reset is unbelievable. Did a mag dump challenge against a binary. I WON. I’m getting rid of Geiselle SSP that is in my AR10. This trigger is AWESOME.
