I bought a used (what else) Marlin 882-SSV .22 magnum and cleaned it carefully and took it to the range. Not impressed, especially with the trigger. 4.5# pull and not smooth. I bought a lighter trigger spring that promised "Reduce your trigger pull from ~4lbs to a modified ~2.5lbs (Average results can vary up to +/- 1lb)" thinking it a cheap ($15 incl. shipping)fix. Installed and lubed the trigger and it changed the pull to 4#. Ordered the Rifle Basix trigger and it was a pretty brainless install and adjust. It set it to 1.75#. Crisp break and 0 creep. Love the rifle now. It was ~$100 with Minnesota (Land of 10K taxes) sales tax and free shipping. It's worth the money because it actually works.

I installed it in a Marlin 880sq and adjusted it to a 2.5# trigger pull. Sear engages 100% of the time, safety functions, and the bolt can still be removed from the receiver. I first adjusted the take up set screw until there was just enough clearance for the safety to engage and then I adjusted the spring tension screw until I was satisfied with the trigger pull weight. I may go a little higher but as it is I have a very crisp 2.5# trigger pull with no perceptible take up that functions perfectly.

I purchased this trigger after trying a trigger spring from another company. The spring didn’t work and rifle would slam fire. I just install the Rifle Basix trigger and couldn’t be happier with the results! My trigger went from a 5lb pull down to a 2lb with room to adjust further. The install was simple, very detailed instructions and all the safety features still work on my rifle. Great value for the money!

I really like this upgrade! My stock trigger averaged close to 7lbs. The rifle basix averages 1.3 per 10 pulls! Very good results

I bought this trigger to replace the heavy high travel factory trigger on my Marlin 782. It was very easy to put in and adjust. This new trigger makes the gun a pleasure to shot. 100% recommend.
