The Timney 2-Stage trigger is the latest model in that series. The pull weight is factory calibrated for a 1lb first stage and 1 lb second stage (the second stage is adjustable from 1 to 4-pounds of pull weight). The 2-Stage trigger features machined and hardened steel work surfaces milled from A2 tool steel and all three sears are Teflon-nickel coated for added lubricity. The trigger housing and shoe are CNC machined using state-of-the-art robotics and the sears are EDM cut from high-grade solid steel. The trigger housing utilizes an anodized aluminum body and the trigger shoe and safety are carbon nitrided which dramatically increases the surface hardness and wear-resistance properties of the metal. The Timney 2 Stage Straight Trigger is easily installed with no screws, drilling, or tapping required. By simply removing existing pins, replacing trigger, and inserting existing pins anyone can replace a trigger on their Remington 700. Fabulous trigger, typical Timney quality through and through. Why more people don't try tw–stage triggers for their PRS rifles and hunting rifles is beyond me. There are many advantages…the militaries of the world discovered these years ago. Try one, you'll like it !

I had seen a lot of love for Timney Triggers for 700's and AR's. I decided against the standard Timney and got the two stage and I couldn't be more happy. The trigger was smooth all the way up to the wall and then provided a clean, crisp break!

Very easy installation in a Remington 700, following the instructions. Huge improvement over the standard Remington 700 trigger which was supposed to be adjustable down to 2.5lbs, but even adjusted out all the way would only drop to 4.1lbs. I will buy more for other rifles at this price. I measured the pull from factory and it came set at 2.5lbs exactly. The straight trigger is nice, but might not work with all trigger guards. I have always liked the two-stage triggers, and was glad to find this one. First time taking my rifle to the range, and with this trigger, using Hornady .308 precision hunter ammo was sub 0.5MOA at 100, 200, 300, and 400 yrds. Ship tracking was excellent packaging was extra protected. All timney instructions included. Will review later once installed in Remington 700 chassis. My first bought timney trigger since all previous triggers were for AR15s. I heard timney was the best for Remington 700s.

The fit was good but not great. The action was removed from the stock and the trigger went in pretty strait forward without issue. From the factory this trigger was set to about what the max weight and take up is. Luckily the trigger is easily adjustable, and within a few minutes everything was adjusted to my preference. I began to notice that the Bolt Stop was binding. Backing out the allen screw that secures the bolt catch release bar took care of that issue. In all honesty the trigger has not shrunk any group sizes, but that's not why I purchased it. I just prefer a 2 stage over a single. Overall it's a nice trigger, I just wish it had a wider shoe.

Great product. Very easy to install push two pins out push two pins in. Install bolt carrier/barrel back into the stock. Functional check no problem. Wonderful product
