I've got a 1985 M77/22 that I bought when new and always wanted to improve the trigger. It wasn't bad, about 3.5 to 4 pounds let off that was fairly crisp. For the price I was happy to try this sear/spring kit.I was concerned about the installation because they only give a typed sheet with no pics or diagrams but I followed exactly what was written and everything went together easily. They spend time explaining that you may have to file one part to made it fit and I did, but it is fairly easy to see where you have to file and it doesn't take long. The lowest part of the safety may need filing to get enough clearance for it to work properly. It is not hard and you don't have to disassemble anything to work on it, I used a flat needle file and it took about 10 minutes.Mine dropped the let off down to between 2 and 2.5 pounds and that is great. Tiny bit of creep at the start but then a sharp break with very little pressure. It is really a fantastic improvement and all I want or need. Since there is no expensive trigger available for this gun this little kit is enough to make a big difference.
