This unit was very easy to install. Out of the package the unit was set at 3 lbs when installed.I was able to easily adjust the unit with an Allen wrench to 1 lb 12 oz. Crisp let off with little creep.This is the only aftermarket unit that fits in a Magpul Hunter stock or MDT LSS chassis without additional inletting.

The stock trigger on the Ruger American as a lot of creep and is very rough. The chimney trigger gets rid of the creep and offers a very clean break. There is no over travel. I have used timney triggers on some of my other firearms and have never been disappointed with the quality or the results.

Asalways timney delivers a awesome product. this trigger was easy to install in my ruger amaerican predator and easy to adjust. It is a must for those who are looking to get a more accurate rifle. Easy to install and fits like a glove.

Great overall upgrade, have used timney in other bolt guns and is always a go to trigger. After instal took the set screw 1.5 turns past flush in and it is completely safe and very light with minimal pretravel. It's very nice for a single stage but I do miss my 8oz 2 stage timney rem700 trigger. You need a 1/16th punch to instal the trigger but that's rugers fault for using roll pins.

I have five Ruger Americans and I have installed this trigger assembly in all of them. A half turn counterclockwise from factory setting gives me a perfect 2 1/2 lbs consistent pull. Relatively easy to install if you have the proper pin punches. This trigger is like night and day compared to factory trigger.

I put this trigger in my .308. At the time I also re-scoped the rifle with a Leupold 6-18×40, I did away with the pic rail and used Talley rings, I also re-stocked it with a Boyd Prairie Hunter and replaced the bolt shroud with a titanium one that was also purchased at OP. Granted the shroud was purely aesthetic. I also polished, trued the bolt itself, the action is silky smooth, eliminating that zipper feeling the stock bolts have. The Timney Trigger was an incredible improvement in its stock form, but was I made a few minor adjustments it became an entirely new animal. These triggers are fantastic, the absolute pure “icing on the cake” those improvements all done and told cost more than the rifle, but that rifle is now a tack driver and easy on eyes to boot.I’m now doing the same upgrades to an RAR rimfire and am excited to experience the same or better improvements.
