Instructions are good. Expect to have sear release on bolt closures if uou only do 1/16 of a turn back on sear set adjust. Be sure to follow directions on safety set screw adjust as well. After seeing what timney is doing, i actually bought a small spring pack from brownells and did basically the same set up with factiry trigger and able to keep accutrigger accidental sear stop. Very happy with that set up and like the added security it provides. Timney set up forces you too be very safe 100 percent of the time with use of safety. Which is good and one should but accidents happen.

My Accu-Trigger had many miss fires at the range. Took it on African Safari and had two more while there. Said that’s it and ordered a new Timney Trigger while in the Dubai Airport on the way home! DONT DO THAT!! The paper work is a PITA. The new trigger is easy to install. Followed the instructions and it works 100% at 1.5 lbs pull. Made the rifle a true tack driver!

I have a Savage 111 pre-accutrigger that I recently put a Timney in. I liked the trigger so much that I bought this one for my Savage 220. It's easy to install and it breaks like glass once you have it fine tuned. There is a little bit of over travel also. The accutrigger is a good trigger but Timney makes a great trigger.Im giving it a 4 star review for 2 reasons. No instructions came with the package but you can download them from Timney's website. 2nd issue is with the finish. I ordered the nickel plated one and there's pitting on the side of the trigger. I know the finish doesnt affect how the trigger works but if I'm paying for a quality trigger I expect it to look good too.

My Accu- Trigger would not hold at 1.5 lbs. 2 lbs if I was lucky. Ordered new sear from Savage, still would not hold, they said send in gun. No way. Bought the Timney, got it set correctly, breaks crisp at 1.5 or a little less. If that is what you want then it works fine. You will use some Savage trigger parts though. So far so good.

The Accu-trigger is a good trigger in most cases, but in some cases they are junk. (personal experience)If you have one of the junky ones that like's to "lock up/go into safe mode" "Because you PULL the trigger wrong" (per Savage Arms) This is a good replacement for that. As long as you don't try getting crazy with low low pull weight this trigger does great. Crisp and consistent. Easy to install. It gives you the old world(Just a trigger no trigger safety) clean trigger shoe.Just my opinion. If you have a good Accu-trigger and can live with the safety blade in the middle then stay with that. The actual break is close to the same. Timney is just cleaner without the "Accu-" blade.

Watch out! Ordered 631 not knowing any better, couldn’t get it to work properly, even watching videos. Noticed video trigger different from mine, Optics Planet exchanged for correct one and I lived happily ever after. Install super easy and learned more about this weapon during install.
