The Timney replacement trigger for the Sig Sauer MPX is the latest in the Timney lineage of semi-automatic, replacement triggers. Timney collaborated directly with SIG on the design and features of the MPX drop in replacement trigger. The trigger, hammer, and bridge are constructed of heat-treated steel. The housing is machined from 6061 T6 anodized alloy and the trigger is heat treated steel and coated with black oxide. The trigger is single stage and features a straight blade. The Timney replacement trigger for the SIG MPX is a self-contained, 100% drop-in trigger ready to install in your rifle for an exceptionally smooth, crisp, trigger pull with no gunsmithing, fitting, or adjusting required. The MPX replacement from Timney features a hardened steel bridge to protect the trigger components from the vigorous bolt blow back characteristics prominent in Pistol Caliber Carbines. The single stage trigger features a non adjustable trigger pull weight of 4.5 pounds. Drop in installation is simple once the Factory trigger is removed, you will reuse the factory Hammer and Trigger pins. Set screws are located in the housing to lock the trigger in place and prevent the pins from walking out of place. The Timney drop in MPX trigger works with the factory safety as well as many aftermarket replacements, especially the Timney 49r ambidextrous, short throw safety available here on the website. The stock trigger on the Sig Copperhead is definitely one of those areas ready for improvement. This Timney Trigger is just the thing for that. It shipped fast and installed even faster. I have some experience with AR style triggers so the installation went as expected. I could not be happier with the product, and the ease of installation. Everything worked as advertised. I did add anti-walk pins just to make sure I would never have to worry about them moving around. Great service and a great product, would recommend to anyone wanting a better than factory trigger.

Trigger has a great feel and break. But…you have to buy anti walk pins to properly install. Trigger pins walk. If you tighten the screws designed to prevent this, the trigger body rises against the safety selector switch and it won’t operate.

The included instructions make no mention of the base plate that you need to install under the trigger to protect your receiver from damage by the set screws. Also, there is zero mention of the trigger bridge that must be installed and must be oriented properly. I did find updated instructions online, but this omission from the included instructions resulted in my correcting errors twice. All good now, but not a great install experience. Trigger itself seems great so far, but time will tell.

Put this trigger in my Sig Copperhead, pulled out old trigger, dropped this one in, put in the pins and tightened two screws, that’s it, 3.5lbs. I would recommend putting these in all guns they will fit. I read a review from a guy saying the pins fall out, yes they will until you tighten the screws that are in the trigger box, they put tension on the pins and I had no issues

The stock trigger in the MPX is typical mil spec product. The Timney trigger upgrade is the only thing I've done to my MPX and I am very happy with the results. It's very easy to install, even for a novice like me.
Hammer –
This is my first time putting in a drop in trigger. While the directions were handy, YouTube it for play by play instructions for those that need a visual reference like me. Only issue I ran into was finding a punch that was small enough to knock the roll pin out for the ambi safety. As far as the reviews on the pins walking out I feel like people aren’t willing to tighten the screws down all the way. The springs are kind of in the way to access the Allen screw ports and you will need to use a small flathead to move them out of the way. Very, very simplistic. I would recommend anyone with an MPX that is a novice, like myself, to upgrade the trigger before literally anything else on this platform.
