Trigger is great looking and seems well machined. Install was straight forward. The problem is the trigger paddle screw and trigger transfer bar screw will back out after firing. I installed it and went to the range and put 50 round through it to confirm function. Everything went well till I realized both screws had backed out a few turns and were loose. Also when you tighten down the trigger screw it sticks out slightly and rubs against the polymer frame. I will add a little loctite and try again, but as of now its unacceptable for a defensive carry gun trigger and I cannot recommend using it.

Very disappointing, installed it and got delayed primer strikes. Something must be off in the tolerances. Completely unsafe. Luckily I was not shooting live ammo when I tested it. I looked it up online and other people who seem to have had a similar problem.

I've had my Hellcat for 3 or 4 years now and I've never cared for how "gritty" the take up on the stock trigger felt but it was never bad enough to do anything about. Then a couple weeks back I shot someone else's HC that had a different trigger shoe and after just one mag, I had already decided my trigger was being replaced. The price here was way better than on Tyrant site so I pulled the trigger, pun intended. Was really easy to install following the video on Tyrant site. It looks sharp. It feels good. Most importantly, it feels so smooth on the take up and has a very audible reset. For these reasons, I very generously give 3 stars and still recommend – see end of review. The bad. Maybe this is partially my fault for not thinking to use loctite to begin with, but at the same time, you'd think before going to market Tyrant would have done some testing and fixed the issues or at the very least put loctite on the safety screw and provide some loctite for the other. Since I was only going over to the range for function testing I loaded up 3 mags, 17, 15 and 13 rounds. I didn't even get through all 35 rounds before the trigger wouldn't pull anymore. Didn't take long to realize that the screw I'd tightened down until I was afraid the allen key would snap had backed out pretty far, literally a couple more turns and I think it would have completely fallen out, and the screw for the trigger safety had also backed out a little. Luckily I always carry a set of allens with me and I fixed it right there but even just finishing off the last 15 rounds or so and they had started backing out again even though I wrenched them down as tight as I could.I hope they reconsider what they called an "intelligent design decision" and either loctite the trigger safety screw and update the instructions to loctite the connecting screw on install or redesign how they are doing the pins altogether, like going back to standard roll pins. That said, I do still think that this is a good replacement for the stock trigger shoe and recommend it, but learn from my experience and use a little loctite when installing so you don't have to go back and redo it or worse, have one completely fall out.

This thing looks fantastic, but I swear it made my my trigger more spongey on take up, made a very friction-feeling break, and delayed its break all the way to the frame. Putting the polymer one back in, which is a shame. My fuddish dad looked at me after he shot two rounds through and said “your carry gun is cool, but that trigger is junk. I’ll stick with my 1911.,” as he handed it back to me and grabbed his 1911 out of his open-carry holster. I usually put my dad onto cool stuff, but this only brought me shame.
