After being spoiled by the FIME FCG I installed in my Vepr 12, I decided to swap out the included RAK-1 trigger group (which isn't a bad trigger by any stretch) that was included with my VSKA TRP. Seeing as there was an enhanced version for AKs in addition to the normal one that I bought the shotgun version of, I decided to give this one a try. I'm glad I did. The Vepr 12 trigger I bought had a shorter pull, lighter pull weight, easily distinguished wall, zero over-travel, and a hammer that makes full contact with the bolt face. This trigger is everything that trigger is except that the pull weight has been reduced making it ideal for even faster shooting.

I REALLY like the profile/shape of this triggerEasy install. but had to grind down a section of the “MAC BRACKET” on my PSA AKV because the trigger would not reset yet itself due to rubbing against this area

I installed this in a Molot Vepr AK-74 pattern rifle.PROS:- Required no fitting.- Works great with the stock safety lever.- The included sleeve for the trigger pin made the installation a breeze.- Breaks around 3 to 4 pounds on my trigger pull scale.- Breaks less like a "candy cane" and more like a "carrot", but IMO still feels pretty good.- Experienced no trigger slap after 120 rounds of testing.- Definitely an upgrade over the stock FIME Group trigger and the Tapco G2.CONS:- Kind of expensive for what it is. The ALG Defense AKT is priced about the same and IMO is the better option. I have that trigger in an Arsenal SAM7SF and love it. Unfortunately it gives me HORRENDOUS trigger slap in the Vepr 74 and is nigh unusable. IMO the ALG Defense AKT is worth trying first.- It's a 2-stage trigger. All the triggers in all my other AK rifles and shotguns are single-stage, so I'm just not used to a 2-stage trigger in an AK. It's not necessarily bad, it's just different, and it'll take me some time to warm up to it.FINAL THOUGHTS:- Overall I'm pretty happy. It's a little expensive for what it is but it's still a pretty good trigger.
