APEX TACTICAL SPECIALTIES 100153 Flat Faced Forward Set Sear & Trigger Kit S&W M – The Apex Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger Kit directly replaces the factory hinged trigger with a solid body aluminum trigger featuring a center-mounted pivoting safety that maintains factory safety values. The trigger reduces pre-travel and over-travel from the factory trigger. The Apex Forward Set Kit is engineered to provide the M&P M2.0 pistol owner with a smooth, consistent trigger pull with the advantages of shorter over-travel and shortened trigger reset. All of the components work together to provide a pull weight within the acceptable range for a top-end, service pistol. The kit itself is designed to be drop-in and should not require further gunsmithing, however, armorer or gunsmith installation is recommended. For Use In These Guns For use in all M&P M2.0 polymer frame pistols in 9mm, .40S&W, 10mm, and .45ACP, including the Full Size, Standard, Compact, and Subcompact. EXCEPT for the Shield and Shield M2.0. Does Not Fit These Guns Not certified for use in the M2.0 Metal Series models. Not for use in the original M&P models or in any M&P Shield models. I love my M&P 2.0, but the factory trigger was never very impressive. I got this Apex trigger recently and I couldn’t be more happy with it! It cuts the travel length on my trigger pull in half! The flat face makes it very easy to shoot quickly
WORTH –
Trigger itself is a huge enhancement most definitely and worth the money. If you receive a proper trigger mechanism and you handle such with great care and use down the road. Aside from that, in my opinion it does not hold up well. Let alone installation is a pain in the you know what. This is my fourth trigger from Apex. All have been outstanding and wouldn’t use anything else in all of my S&W M&P’s. But this one with the aluminum by far was the worst experience I’ve had from them yet. Release pin for the trigger wouldn’t give when trying to punch it in. Nearly cracked the trigger trying to apply pressure ended up throwing it in the trash. $200 thrown down the toilet. Lesson learned though.

I don't know if this is an issue with the trigger or the gun. I tried a similar trigger on the P10C and they are crisp and the reset is very clear. After replacing my MP2.0 trigger, the reset is super short but not audible and hard to feel with the finger. Also, if you do not have a press I'd suggest getting a gunsmith. Tutorial videos saying that replacing the slide parts is harder, but I found those are easier than finally dropping the trigger onto the trigger bar. I ended bent the trigger bar and had to hire a gunsmith.
