I got this trigger for a 7.62×39 build I was doing. The factory trigger was ok but I wanted something a little more crisp for the longer shots. One I got it installed it was amazing how much cleaner it broke vs the factory trigger. I went from 8in groups at 400 to about a 4. So right there I would say it was worth it. The only problem I encountered was that when I first installed it, the trigger was actually hitting on the trigger guard and causing it to release the hammer if the bold was pushed to fast forward. So all I did to fix this was file down that area and now it works like a dream. Overall a great trigger.

I ordered with the 5-10 shipping. Item arrived in 4 days. Awesome. Immediately installed the trigger on my rifle and using a Timney trigger pull gauge, I set the trigger to roughly 1.6lbs. Trigger installed correctly and worked great. Do NOT lubricate the trigger. I used a little lighter fluid to make sure it was cleaned properly. The aftermarket Boyds stock I have on the rifle needed a little modification to fit the larger safety lever. No big, trigger is great was a good upgrade to the 18 year old trigger this rifle had.

Product came exactly as described and on time. It was an exact fit to a Howa 1500 and needed NO modifications to get it installed right. Just take apart stock, remove trigger assembly screw to remove trigger, drop in Timney and install trigger screw, replace stock, torque action bolts. Go shoot. My groups got significantly tighter because of it and I noticed immediate results.

The trigger was shipped with a replacement attaching screw that was about two turns too long to clear the bolt. Thirty seconds on a belt sander fixed that. Dimensionally the trigger is slightly different than the original, resulting in floor plate/ trigger interference. Again quickly fixed with a dremel. But be aware, this may not be a drop in replacement. The adjustment for trigger pull was easy, dropped from 3lb12ozs, to 1lb12ozs in about one full turn on the adjustment screw. Yep light for a hunting gun but 99+% of my shooting is from a bench.

Good aftermarket trigger. I have four Timney triggers on rifles and all are great triggers. I had no fitment issues with the Howa 1500 trigger. It adjust for how light or heavy it allows. Few stock rifles will adjust as well as you like. Timney is the next logical and safe step. They are a little pricey.

The safety lever is a bit larger than the stock lever. I had to clearance a small amount, maybe an 1/8” inside the stock so it would completely disengage. Well worth it though. So much better than the stock trigger on a S1 Vanguard!
