The new Timney 2-Stage Straight trigger is the latest model in that series. The pull weight is factory calibrated for an adjustable 8 ounce to 1.5 lb first stage and 8 ounce to 2.0 lb second stage. The 2-Stage trigger features machined and hardened steel work surfaces milled from A2 tool steel and all three sears are Teflon-nickel coated for added lubricity. The trigger housing and shoe are CNC machined using state-of-the-art robotics and the sears are EDM cut from high-grade solid steel. The trigger housing utilizes an anodized aluminum body and the trigger shoe and safety are carbonitrided which dramatically increases the surface hardness and wear-resistance properties of the metal. Since it was founded in 1946, Timney Triggers has built a reputation based on the quality of its products. Because of the precision machining and workmanship that goes into each Timney product they are The World’s Finest Triggers. Each and every Timney Trigger is individually tested and calibrated by hand in the action it was designed for before it’s delivered to the customer’s door. I put this trigger in a 1970s Remington 700 BDL. Installation was straightforward with no problems. Without any adjustment, first stage broke at 11 ounces, second stage at 24 ounces, which is great for me. Definite first and second stages. Safety works properly. Passed the slam and drop test. Much better than the factory trigger.

Rem 700 SPS .308I enjoy the feel of this trigger, but installation was a little more involved than the "drop in" that's advertised. The front end of the trigger was so tight getting in the receiver, it took some mild hammer taps. (So tight that the blue anodizing was scratching off). The biggest issue is that the bolt release is jammed up against the side of the bottom metal, so it can't move freely. I have to push firmly to release the bolt, but then it's stuck and will not disengage. Because of this, when I go to put my bolt back in, it won't lock. I'll need a metal file or dremel to remove some of the trigger guard metal to allow the bolt release to move.

What an amazing upgrade. Jewell like in the 2nd stage. money well spent. wish it was my first trigger upgrade.Looked at the Huber but Timney has been so good to me. I felt I had to try the Calvin Elite and glad I did.

This is the first Timney I've ever bought, and it's great. Quick to install, easy to adjust. Only issue I had was the flat trigger didn't play well with my Magpul stock. I had to Dremel a little relief out of the lower bottom of the trigger guard, so I could pull the trigger all the way. Other than that, it's the perfect trigger for the price.

This trigger is a 2 stage for remington700. Installation was easy and fit with no issues. The trigger has a light first stage and definitive wall at the 2nd stage with a crisp break. I have several of these triggers and all have performed without exception.

I couldn’t wait for the trigger to get here. I have a lot of experience with quality AR triggers but not with Remington 700. On my AR I have all Geiselle and they are as superb as I can imagine a trigger being. I have a high speed national match from geiselle in my bench AR and that has as true to an “icicle break” as I think anyone could get.The Timney is still very good but at about half of the price as the trigger mentioned above it isn’t as good as that. I would describe this trigger break as “A deep frozen carrot” it has just a tiny tiny tiny bit of softness before the very clean break that if you never used anything better you probably wouldn’t be able to discern.Overall this trigger still breaks very clean especially for its price point. I have tried to induce a slamfire and have slammed the butt on the ground and it is by my estimation 100% safe even when set very light. The wall between both stages is very discernible and even when the second stage is set very light, you can reach the wall and know it’s there without inadvertently blowing past it and firing prematurely.I would recommend this trigger to anyone.
